Quantum’s been the go-to people to go for this sort of installation for renewables. They come in, they measure, they price, they supply and fit everything and it’s been seamless. Anytime I’ve asked for anything, or asked for changes, they’ve been able to do that and it’s just been a really great experience. The workmanship – top quality. Our learners have got to come and see it being worked on as well, so that’s good for the enrichment of our learners, and Quantum have thrown in Masterclasses for the learners as well. The set up is amazing and the bay quality is really good. This is going to revolutionize Buckinghamshire’s renewable prospectus. Employers will be able to come here and upskill their staff and learners will be able to do CPD here, enhancing their knowledge so they’re going out into employment with a much better understanding of renewable technologies. They’ll get a first-class industry experience from this.”

Matt Cappell, Faculty Director – Construction & Technologies,
Buckinghamshire College Group

“From the very first meeting, the team at Quantum have gone the extra mile to provide us with bespoke, purpose built Green Technology training equipment, to accommodate both our available space and finite project funding. Communication has been excellent throughout, from design to booking installation and arranging Train the Green Trainer sessions for our staff, along with arranging additional supply of teaching materials to support their new Level 2 Qualification.

I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with Quantum, and I’m very much looking forward to the next phase in our journey, which is an installation on a second campus. This installation has double the amount of equipment we could accommodate on the first campus, and will add enormously to the Curriculum offer in this location.

These installations are the heart of our 2 new Green Technologies Hubs, which will add huge value across a range of Curriculum offer. We will be using it to demonstrate the Technologies to a large number of year 10 students from local schools, joining us to investigate the future career opportunities in Renewable Technologies in Cornwall. The equipment will also be supporting our Plumbing and Heating Apprenticeships on the Environmental pathway, as well as the new Low Carbon Technician Apprenticeship. In addition it will enable us to expand the availability of Level 3 Upskill courses for current Plumbing and Heating and Electrical Engineers, in Solar Thermal Hot Water, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, EV Chargepoint Installation and Battery Storage”

In particular, I would like to commend the exceptional work of your engineer, Lewis. His professionalism, politeness, and willingness to work around our ongoing college activities were truly commendable. Lewis was always informative and helpful, ensuring a smooth handover process.

The quality of the workmanship and equipment used throughout the project is evident in the final result, and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our campus community.

Thank you again for your exceptional work. We are thrilled with the results and look forward to the positive impact this sustainable area will have on our college.”

John Evans, Curriculum Manager for Construction and Engineering/Technology

“The bays have a high-quality finish. Quantum use prefab panels, they bolt together really quick. You can lock off your bay, keeps it nice and secure when you’re doing assessments. Its all really good quality, there’s a full lock off kit for safety reasons, the assessor can be in control all the time. We’ve got little solar panels on wheels, all built for me, I can move them around for the assessments, I dont have to do anything. They provide a toolbox with all your testing equipment in here, it’s nice and secure; press fit gun is in there, top of the range – this is all part of the package from Quantum. Quantum sorted out the distribution board for us as well, otherwise you have to get contractors in. This was a real turnkey solution, there’s no stress, so its all been a really good experience actually, really good.”

Andy Macavoy, Team leader Plumbing, Gas and Renewables
Stockport College

“I can’t remember the last time FE had this much support from the Green and Renewable tech industry. Newham Colleges renewable technology suite of training bays and resources provided by Quantum are a great example of what can be achieved when we are truly honest about the position of the Green sector and then collaborate on what needs to be done. What we have jointly achieved is great. Students are now being given the right level of training that industry needs. It is really inspiring how we have worked with and alongside Quantum to over come these challenges. Its great when you have an collaborative partner that see the whole picture. Quantum designed and installed our training bays, then together we recognised teachers and lecturers needed training – again Quantum provided this to all staff and to support the sector further Quantum have also developed a new set of assured qualifications with a leading awarding body that align with the sector needs and the resources provided. – the future is definitely a little more Green as a result of this

Glen Lambert, Curriculum Director

“Quantum have created and installed several Green Renewable Training Hubs in various colleges .Quantum have designed the hubs to a high specification as they offer bespoke training areas for: solar thermal, air source heat pumps, solar photovoltaics, electrical vehicle charging and there is an area dedicated to learning the skills required for renewable energy fault finding in each hub. In September 2023, I attended a Green Skills Hub launch at LSEC. The new skills hub at LSEC’s Bromley Campus will play a pivotal role in the delivery of renewable energy technological skills required relevant to reducing carbon emissions in the construction industry and the support of Quantum is critical to a quality training environment of which they have created a Renewable Energy qualification of which is ,City and Guilds assured and underpins the practical elements for the skills hubs.”

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Quantum on this project.
Whilst others talk about the skills agenda, this joint enterprise has actively moved the dial; creating genuine opportunities for learners to access and hone a range of market-leading, sustainable energy skills.
The partnership has blended industry knowledge and cutting-edge equipment with educational frameworks and support, resulting in an accessible but demanding qualification truly fit for the future. We could not be prouder of the end result and our part in its inception.
Our heartfelt thanks to Quantum for identifying the need and leading the vision to meet it. This qualification will be standard practice across the UK in years to come- and not a moment too soon.” …”
